The project originally began as a curated selection of second-hand and vintage clothing. I collect and resell pieces I find interesting and unique, giving them a second life.
Since the start of the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the project has become fully charitable. All proceeds from these sales are donated to support friends of mine who serve in the Ukrainian army. Over the past three years, we have raised almost 200 000 uah, making fashion not only more sustainable, but also a small way to contribute and support those on the front line.
Alongside my personal selections, I collaborate with other creatives to create duo charity drops, combining our styles and visions to expand the project and raise funds together.
SWAP PARTIES
Yarbazar Swap is a series of events held in different locations and cities that transform casual second-hand exchange into a cultural experience and a community ritual. Participants bring clothes and objects they no longer use and exchange them for something new to them. All items are checked before entering the swap space to keep the selection in good condition.
Beyond the exchange itself, the events bring together different formats and creatives: an upcycle and repair station, a market space with vintage selections and independent brands, book corners, and a social area with food, drinks, and DJ sets.
I like to bring these elements into a wholesome event and transform a simple clothing swap into a social gathering where people exchange not only physical things.
